Hello, thank you for taking the time to look at our site. My name is James Sweeney, I am 16 years old and have just left The Arthur Terry school in Sutton Coldfield. I am going to drive round the world with my Grandad, Norman Seddon, aged 75 in his Landrover. ( how lucky am I !! )
I am going to raise funds for Huntington’s Disease Association and bring awareness of the disease to people around the world. HD is not restricted to the UK but is worldwide. My Nan, Barbara drove round the world with my Grandad in 2010, returning in September 2012 and raised over £7000 for HDA. I aim to beat that with the help of all who follow my blog.
Unfortunately my Nan who suffered with HD passed away 3 months after returning from their trip. There is no cure for HD but doctors around the world are searching for a cure and your donation will go towards helping them succeed. Thank you.
Our intended route is as follows, but is not set in stone as political upsets can arise and boarders can close. Europe – Turkey – Georgia – Armenia – Azerbaijan – Iran – Turkmenistan – Uzbekistan – Tajikistan – Kyrgyzstan – Kazakhstan – China – Tibet – Nepal – India – Myanmar – Northern Thailand – Laos – Thailand – Malaysia – Indonesia – Australia – South Africa -South America – Central America – North America – Alaska – Canada and then back home. ” Just like that ” as a famous comedian once said!
